WTA Order of Play for the Weekend

 Fottennis brings you the order of play of tennis events this weekend, a few insight on the match, previews and the players to look out for during the weekend.

    Starting from Europe in Czech Republic where Barbora Krajcikova(WTA:23) will face Wimbledon 2022 winner Elena Rybakina(WTA:26) at 13:00 GMT for a spot in the final. Elena is having a wonderful season and she will be hoping to cap it off by winning Ostrava Open. Fottennis is tipping her to win in two straight sets.

In that same WTA Event, World No 1 and three times Grand-slam champion Iga Swiatek will face Russia's Ekaterina Alexandrova(WTA:21) for the other spot. Iga has been on fire throughout this year. She leads the women ranking with a five thousand, two hundred and ninety-five(5,295) point gap. She will be hoping to increase that tomorrow ans step up her preparations for the WTA finals. Fottennis sees an easy win for Swiatek going by her dominant form throughout this year.

We go down to North Africa Tunisia at the Monastia WTA, Just today, tournament favourite and top seed Ons Jabeur(was knocked in three(3) sets by american Claire Liu (WTA:73). She'll now face Belgian's Elise Mertens(WTA:42) in the second game tomorrow 14:30 GMT.

Before that Alize Cornet(WTA:37) will battle a key opposition in Veronika Kudermetova (WTA:12) at 13:00 GMT. Alize has her up and downs this year and she has not been at her best. Veronika is having a mixed year too, lost narrowly to Zheng just last weekend and she's managed to reach another semis in the space of a week, she will be hoping to change her fortunes this time around and I'm giving her the nod to beat Alize in two straight sets.

Benfica Vs Juventus Match Preview and Prediction

This is a pivotal UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash for both Benfica and Juventus, with the hosts in the driving seat. Coming into the round, they are top and level with Paris Saint-Germain on eight points meaning a win would guarantee a top-two finish in Group H, though a draw would also suffice if Maccabi Haifa fail to overcome PSG at the Parc des Princes.   Dominic Thiem saved three match points today as he defeated Hubert Hurkacz in three sets, he will face Sebastian Korda who defeated Yoshihito Nishioka to reach this stage. Thiem has finally gotten his form back and we have seen the way he's been playing over a few weeks, tomorrow is another test for him, facing Korda who has been top notch in recent times, Korda reached the finals of the Gijon Open last week in the same competition Thiem participated in. Can he make it two finals in two weeks? We will know when they play against each other by 15:30 GMT. The second semi final of the day will see Richard Gasquet go head to head vs Felix Auger-Alliasime. Felix had a thought match today vs Daniel Evans and he had to wait for the third set before he could win. Carloz Alcaraz is set to play Felix Auger-Alliaime by 14:30 GMT, it has being quite an open for both players, they've had easy opponents to face and today is the first big test for each of them. Today's game will be the third time they'll face each other, Felix has won in the former two encounters against Carlos. Today's match will be a different one, Carlos has been playing very well so I don't expect Felix to have an easy ride. Felix's form is another thing to consider, he won two 250-ATP titles in the past two weeks. Today's match will see a lot of shot making. The best player among the two will win for sure.
