Bayer Leverkusen failed to get qualification into the knockout stages of the UCL after playing a goalless draw with Club Brugge. The German club at least managed to qualify for the Europa League as they finished above Atletico Madrid with a better H2H performance.
FC Porto rose as high as the top of Group B after a deserved 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid, this is their first victory after six attempts and they have condemned Atletico Madrid to total elimination from Europe before Christmas
Bayern Munich broke a record today, becoming the first team ever to finish three different group stages with a 100% record. Goals from Benjamin Pavard and Chupo-Moting gave them their sixth win from six UCL matches this season.
Liverpool got their revenge on Napoli, ending Napoli's unbeaten start to the UCL campaign in the process. Salah and Darwin Nunez ensured victory at the death for Liverpool in Klopp's 100th match as a manager in the UCL.
Tottenham came form behind again defeating Marseille 2 goals to 1 away from home, this is Spurs first win away from home over a 8-games span. They finished as group leaders and condemned Marseille to total elimination from the UCL.
Barcelona kept their pride as they finished the UCL campaign with a win, they'll continue in the second tier of the European competitions when it resumes next year. Plzen equalled an unwanted record for the most goals conceded in the group stage of the UCL (24).
Ajax were able to end their disappointing UCL campaign with a win against Rangers guaranteeing themselves a spot in the Europa League competition. The result also added Rangers to the list of teams who lost all six group game matches in a single season.
Eintracht Frankfurt's impressive away record got them qualification into the UCL round of 16. They were 2-1 winners against Sporting CP who failed to win any of their last four group stage fixtures after winning the first two!
Real Madrid trashed Celtic by five goals to one. Modrich, Rodrygo, Asensio and Valverde were on the score sheet as they earned the top spot in their group. The result means Celtic have lost six consecutive games against Spanish opponents.
RB Leipzig secured qualification after an impressive 4-0 thumping of Shakhtar Donetsk away from home, they finished second place in their group after four straight wins in their group matches after losing the first two.
AC Milan denied RB Salzburg qualification scoring four past them at the San-Siro stadium. Giroud was on fire today getting a goal involvement in every goal scored, he had two goals and two assists as Milan extended their unbeaten record against Austrian teams sealing the second spot in Group E.
Chelsea crashed Dianamo Zagreb out of the European Competition as they came from behind in the game, defeating Zagreb by two goals to one. The result marks the first time that Zagreb failed to reach the knockout of an European competition for the first time in three years.
Dortmund were held by FC Copahagen to a 1 all draw. Nevertheless Dortmund got their qualification to the knockout stages by finishing 2nd. FC Copahagen managed to get their first goal in the UCL today!
PSG defeated Juventus away from home two goals to one but they failed to get the first spot after Benfica's spirited performance. Mbappe had a goal and an assist meanwhile Juventus became the second Italian side to lose five UCL games.
Benfica recorded their best UCL points tally in the group stage campaign ad they trashed Maccabi Hafia 6-1, they topped Group H finishing ahead of PSG while Maccabi Hafia finished bottom.
Manchester City came from a goal down to record a home and away victory over Sevilla, the citizens claimed the top spot in the group while Sevilla will play in the second tier of the European competition
