Taylor Fritz Wins The Tokyo ATP

 Taylor Fritz(ATP:11) defeated Frances Tiafoe(ATP:19) in two sets 7 6(7 3) 7 6(7 2) to win the Tokyo award. The game started with great exchanges, each player winning their service game. Tiafoe broke Firtz first to lead 2 1 but his joy was cut short when Fritz broke him back almost immediately to get to 2-2. Fritz managed the pressure on him and won his service game thereafter. They both kept it going and the first set was locked at 6 6, they had to play the deciding tie-breaker, Firtz won the first two points, Tiafoe got one back, Fritz doubled his points to make it 4-1, Tiafoe got two straight points to get it to 4-3, Firtz took control of his own service game and got two more points, Tiafoe lost his serve  in the last game and and it ended 7-3 in Fritz's favour. Fritz got 5 break points and 2 set point en route to win the first set. 

Tiafoe began proceedings in the second set  he took good control of his first serve getting a 40-0 point win, Firtz did not allow the pressure to wallow him and he also won his first service game by a 40-15 point margin. 

They both kept their service games to bring the game to another 6-6 and setup  another decider. Tiafoe lost serve three times during the tie-break and he allowed Fritz to take control by losing the first three points. He only got two points compared to Fritz's seven. Fritz had four break points and two match points, he hit 12 aces tied with Tiafoe , got a 68 percent in his first serves, won 92 percent of his service games tied with Tiafoe also, he outshone Tiafoe by winning more serve and return points(something Tiafoe will have to improve on, going forward, he manages to win games without winning more points) he(Fritz) did not have any double faults whereas Tiafoe made four, all these aided Fritz in going home with the trophy.
