San Diego WTA Match Results and Order of Play

 Danielle Collins defeated Martina Trevisan in two straight sets in the early hours of yesterday, Jessica Pegula also defeated Coco Vandeweghe in two sets 6 3 6 1. Iga Swiatek was victorious  triumphing over unrelenting  Quiwen Zheng, Swiatek had the first set 6 games to 4 but Zheng responded in the second set with that same margin, Swiatek took her to the cleaners in the third with that dominant 6 1 performance. The last match of  yesterday saw Coco Guaff triumphing over Bianca Andreescu in three sets 6 4, 4 6, 6 3 qualifying for the quarters in that process.

More round of sixteen games will be played today, three games have been played already!
 
Madison Keys defeated Daria Kasatkina 6 4, 6 3 in the early hours of today. Sabalenka managed to get the required victory over Solane Stephens doing it in three sets, Stephen won the first set six games to one but she dropped her level in the next one and allowed Sabalenka to come in. Sabalenka broke her three times to win the second set 6 3( she broke Sabalenka's serve once in the second set), similar thing happened during the third;Sabelenka broke her twice and won the game 6 2.

There are two more games to go for today
High flying Donna Vekic (WTA:77) will face  Aryna Sabalenka (WTA:5) who played in the early hours of today. I won't be surprised if Vekic wins agian, Sabalenka does not have much time to rest and considering she played more than two hours in the early hours of today, it makes no sense that she has to face Vekic again that same day, why can't the matched be shifted to the next day? Hard task for Sabalenka but she's a proven fighter. Match Time: 19:30 GMT

Jessica Pegula played 03:30 GMT on Thursday, she will be playing Madison keys who played 01:35 GMT today! Much time isn't given for these girls to rest and I wonder how Madison will cope against a top opponent like that without given much time to rest. Will be so hard for her. The tournament organizers have to find a probable solution to this situation it does not look fair. Match Time: 21:00 GMT

Benfica Vs Juventus Match Preview and Prediction

This is a pivotal UEFA Champions League (UCL) clash for both Benfica and Juventus, with the hosts in the driving seat.   Dominic Thiem saved three match points today as he defeated Hubert Hurkacz in three sets, he will face Sebastian Korda who defeated Yoshihito Nishioka to reach this stage. Thiem has finally gotten his form back and we have seen the way he's been playing over a few weeks, tomorrow is another test for him, facing Korda who has been top notch in recent times, Korda reached the finals of the Gijon Open last week in the same competition Thiem participated in. Can he make it two finals in two weeks? We will know when they play against each other by 15:30 GMT. The second semi final of the day will see Richard Gasquet go head to head vs Felix Auger-Alliasime. Felix had a thought match today vs Daniel Evans and he had to wait for the third set before he could win. Carloz Alcaraz is set to play Felix Auger-Alliaime by 14:30 GMT, it has being quite an open for both players, they've had easy opponents to face and today is the first big test for each of them. Today's game will be the third time they'll face each other, Felix has won in the former two encounters against Carlos. Today's match will be a different one, Carlos has been playing very well so I don't expect Felix to have an easy ride. Felix's form is another thing to consider, he won two 250-ATP titles in the past two weeks. Today's match will see a lot of shot making. The best player among the two will win for sure.
