Results, Order of play of the Gijon ATP


 Pedro Cachin defeated Alexy in two sets 7 6 ( 7 2) 6 0, France's Arthur Rinderknech defeated fellow country man Constant Lastienne in two straight sets 6 4 6 2.

Tommy Paul continued his winning form by beating Alvarez Varona in two sets. The biggest surprise of the day was Sebastian Korda's win over Jaume Munar in two straight sets. Carona Busta defeated Thiago Monterio in two sets and lastly Dominic Thiem outclassed Marcos Giron in three sets.

Play will continue today by 11:00 GMT. Argentine Francisco Guinard (ATP:29) will face France's Manuel Guinard (ATP:153). Guinard benefitted from Fognini's retirement in the last set but now he faces another hard task. Fransisco is the favourite.


12:30 GMT Britain's Andy Murray (ATP 48) will face Pedro Cachin (ATP:61), Murray was able to defeat his first round opponent Davidovich, he'll hope to continue in winning ways later today. 


15:00 GMT will see tournament's top seed Andrey Rublev (ATP:9) face Ilya Ivashka (ATP:70) Rublev hopes for another good outing as he reached the Astana Open semifinals last weekend, here he's the favourite, he must for sure play so well to avoid dropping ranking points.


The last Match Up of the day is between Sebastian Korda (ATP:42) and Roberto Bautista (ATP:24). Bautista is the third seed in the tournament, he also had a great outing last weekend defeating Felix Auger Aliassime before losing to Medvedev in the quarter finals of the Astana Open. He has to play well to win as Sebastian Korda is known for surprises
